I loved how bizarre and fresh this was from most side-scrolling shooter games.
My two biggest suggestions would be Weapon powerups, and more levels (and with more levels, perhaps passwords to skip back to them).
I got 86,700 points my first try:
Level 1: 37600
Level 2: 49100
For people who didn't notice, you can change your starting health from 100 to 150 to 200 from under the 'options' button in the main menu.
This has also probably been one of the funniest game's I've had the pleasure of playing. Keep it up :-)

I thought i'd see some one post about powerups
powerups are fun but I was too lazy to put them in

It's pretty basic, but that also means it wasn't over-fangled to the point of sucking. I enjoyed it :)
Could you reply and tell me what music loop tthat is though, and where you got it and/or e-mail it to me?
Author's Response:
Search for the author "ParagonX9" in the audio portal, the name of the song is Chaos Devotion...either that or click the audio link up in the info place in the portal page.

it just keeps repeating... and it lags pretty bad at that point, and trust me, it's not my computer.
I would say you have the beginnings of a good game, but you still have a lot of work to do. Right now there is no variation of weapons, locations, scenes, enemies, enemy tactics, dangers, sounds, etc.
The music also stopped looping after awhile. And while I really liked how you can hear the gunshots on the site of the screen you shot them, it also faded the music to whatever side you were currently shooting on, which was a little weird...
Good start, needs more work though

This is a really nice flash game, only 31.5 KB, asbstract but well-done graphics, and straight-forward, pleasant gameplay.
I loved where you were going with it, from the basic parachute concept, to lasers and trampolines and shredders and jet packs, I sincerely hope you release a longer version of this game, with more levels, challenges, items, etc.
Levels and passwords:
Level 02: I LOVE PC
Level 02: KICK-ASS
Level 03: HEY DUDE
Level 04: FUKE ME
after that it just keeps looping level 1
keep it up :-)

"Normally I don't really like real movies on NG"
but this is a good exception. You have nice talents, and I'm glad you shared your card tricks with us :-)
I'd also enjoy a how-to magic video, if you wanted to share your secrets O:-)

"Well you were right that I was going to review it"
but I actually liked this one... I just get sick of the ones with crap entrants who depend on a long loading screen and the star_syndicate name to get past judgement. But this one didn't have that stupid menu, and the entries had a lot of work put into them, and I enjoyed this one. And I don't blam every SS entry, just the crap ones, don't worry >:)
There is a time and place for the 'eplileptic random noisy WTF scene,' and this one put it to a lot better use than SS entries that contained virtually ONLY that... this one got a little gratuitous at parts, but I voted 2/5 this time.
You guys have a lot of great potential in you, but you sometimes let that get the better of you when you submit junk riding on your past accomplishments.
Favorite moment: 'you can't leave... I'll KILL you if you leave, bitch!'
Author's Response:
2/5 and review 8? I thought that was a 4/5. whatever.
I keep hearing you're a cool guy from a few people, but your last reviews were too stupid not to laugh at. Especially when you cut and pasted your review about us having a flashy introduction when it was replaced with a shitty one.
You do know that the first season had the shitties preloaders and menus I could throw in there, right?

All I can say is 'more' lol - I loved the guns (pistol, high-power pistol, uzi, and machine gun), the foes (gray large stationary target, red medium stationary target, green small stationary target, gray moving target, and the turrets, both aiming and non), and the cut-scenes.
For players: don't be shy about using your ammo, it (like your life) gets replenished after each round (and steadily increases, as well! but ammo doesn't carry over round to round)
Here are the level codes (note that they ARE case-sensitive):
01 1JTG4N
02 2FT4MF
03 3dEHBD
04 4JF18S
05 5MV6RG
06 6IH84H
07 7F6JAQ
08 8TH7KJ
09 9FU74V
10 10DFH3
11 11H87G
12 12EVUT
13 13J95G
14 14B8EG
15 15DFHG
16 16J873
17 178js6
18 188HJE
19 19GHEU
I'm very eagerly looking forward to any continuations you make of this, and would only suggest more levels, guns, enemies, etc. (consider a laser that bounces off wals / goes through targets, stuff like that)
:-)
Author's Response:
Wow man, I was actually thinking about the laser bouncing off the walls :D So for now, *shhhh*
Thanks for the comments and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Now that I have the "basic" game engine, I will focus on the other things.

I found it hilarious that people were liking this flash entry even when they were aware of ONLY the pre-loader lol - that's a sign of a great pre-loader ;-) [my high score on that was 269656 ft]
My only two complaints about this great and innovative game is that the 'thwomps' or 'crushers' or what-have-you give no warning before spiting me to oblivion (but that's part of the unforgiving nature of the game... part of it is just learning that you need to jump here and run there, etc.), and also when I was testing the cheats, it was frustrating that they rarely took the first time or two, but they're cheats, lol, so beggars can't be choosers... both of these are minor complaints, I just wanted to throw them out there.
My biggest suggestion would be a 'pause' feature, mostly because the bathroom break I took one time cost me a life due to running out of battery. A bonus level or two after 5/10 levels or so would be pretty neat, filled with volts, most of which you can't get before time runs out or something. A 'credits' button from the main menu would also be a handy feature, I loved the in-game music and I missed who did it when the end-game credits were rolling.
I loved how creative this game is, starting with basic floors, pits, then platforms, fans, gears, crushers, spikes, rising floors, fading floors, falling floors, cannons, and even dissapearing platforms... quite riveting (pun intended)!
If you were looking to make a sequel, I would add an attack/weapons, and foes. Upgrades (faster run, stop, higher jump, etc.) would also be pretty nifty, as would different backgrounds for each level.
It's a very challenging game, but I think it's quite rewarding as a result. Keep up the excellent work, I really enjoyed playing this game and I'm glad you took the time to make it and submit it here :-)
And now...
Passwords and total number of volts per level:
level 01: (71 volts)
level 02: sparksshallfly (45 volts)
level 03: mrroboto (59 volts)
level 04: batteryacid (53 volts)
level 05: longliverobots (54 volts)
level 06: funkyrobot (69 volts)
level 07: youonlysparkonce (62 volts)
level 08: shortingthecircuit (52 volts)
level 09: metalrusts (37 volts)
level 10: notsohuman (83 volts) [you typoed this as 'notsobuman' on the ending passwords screen, just btw/fyi]
Ending: you fly out over a sunset on water, and it says 'Hoverbot is Free,' then the credits roll
And here are the in-game cheats you gave on your site, mostly because 3 appear to have been typoed, and also in case someone wants them when/if your freewebs site isn't up:
hvbinvisible = turns player invisible
hvbbighead = gives player big head
hvbrestart = restarts game
hvboom = blows up player (typod as 'hvbboom' on your site)
hvbfulllife = unlimited lives (typoed as 'hvbfullife' on your site)
hvbfloat = never fall into that black nothingess
hvbattery = makes battery never run out (typod as 'hvbbattery' on your site)
Author's Response:
Let me tell you that, you are amazing! So far, the first person to beat the game. The ONLY person to find out how many volts are in each level and to post every password from the game into a review. Nice, I must say, I'm impressed! I didn't know I spelt it notsobuman on the passwords chart, I'll fix that as soon as I can and thanks a LOT for pointing that out. Thanks for your awesome review! A pause button would be a good idea too, thanks for the suggestion and playing the game man!

"This flash makes my organs tingle"
I just loved the whacky, original storyline, coupled with athletic, nice, and concise art, and the AWESOME sound effects done completely by voice. I still have goosebumps, awesome flash :-D
